Our Philosophy

Assets Without Purpose Aren't a Blessing

Building a business is a remarkable achievement. But an asset without a purpose isn't just wasted potential. Left unaimed, it can do real damage instead of real good. Legacy is what happens when you take what you've built and point it at something that matters.

We also believe that assets aren't just financial.  You've created Personal Capital, Relational Capital, Intellectual Capital, Financial Capital, and maybe even spiritual understanding that needs to be shared.

Our approach comes from decades of experience, working alongside over a thousand businesses and business owners, and a conviction that we're stewards of what we're given, not just owners of it.

The Four Domains of Legacy

  • Icon of a person silhouette with rays radiating outward on a dark blue background.

Personal: Everything pertaining to you as an individual your physical, intellectual, emotional, and financial health, along with your personal values, goals, habits, and well-being.

  • Icon of three cream-colored abstract people on a teal background representing community or group.

Relational: Everything pertaining to your most important relationships - your marriage, children, grandchildren, extended family, close friends, family culture, communication, traditions, and preparation of the next generation.

  • Simple beige cross centered on a dark purple square background with rounded corners.

Spiritual: Everything pertaining to your faith, beliefs, convictions, and eternal perspective: how you understand stewardship, calling, generosity, wisdom, and accountability before God.

  • Everything pertaining to protecting and executing your legacy: legal structures like wills and trusts, beneficiary designations, digital and online accounts, end-of-life planning, and the practical decisions that turn intention into a legacy that actually transfers.

Meet Our Leaders

Arlin & Nancy

I've spent my career building businesses—but the harder, more important work has always been figuring out what comes after. When I made my own transition from building a business to building a legacy, I felt the weight of questions I hadn't fully prepared for: Who am I now? What's actually worth my time and influence? Nancy and I worked through those questions together, and that's exactly why S2S exists. We built this community so other couples wouldn't have to figure it out alone. Candid conversation, real trust, and people who've walked the same road—that's what made the difference for us, and it's what we want for you.

Pete & Megan

We've spent years walking alongside entrepreneurs and business owners, and we kept seeing the same thing: people who had built something remarkable, but had never stopped to ask what it was actually for. We started asking that question in our own marriage first—what were we building toward, together, beyond the next milestone? That question changed everything for us, and it's why we're so committed to walking alongside couples who are doing the same work. Legacy isn't something you figure out alone, and it's not something that happens by accident. We want to help you get intentional about it—together.
